Ongoing Operations
YMCA
The YMCA facility will be operated as a branch of the
Valley
of the Sun YMCA. A local Board of Directors will assist and support the
professional management that will operate the Y on a daily basis. The Y will
offer a full range of programs similar to those offered by other YMCAs in the
suburban Phoenix area. It will be a membership organization that is fee-based
for both membership and program services. This YMCA will adopt a policy that no
person will be denied membership or program participation for inability to pay.
Community Center
The Community Center facility will be managed by the
Foothills Community Foundation (FCF). FCF will be
responsible for ensuring that the facility is properly maintained as well as
handling the scheduling of the conference facilities. Importantly, FCF will also
host a series of programs and events targeted toward community residents. An
example would be programs offered by
Scottsdale Healthcare to include health screening, flu shots and
immunizations, health education seminars, and healthy cooking classes, etc.
Other activities will include programs and events sponsored by divisions of FCF.
